Now we all know, the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel suck. When you're obsessed with Christmas like I am though, you watch them anyways and act like they're amazing and the most magical thing you've ever seen! So here are some of my "favorites" you could check out if you just cannot wait for ABC Family to start it's "25 days of Christmas" special, like I am.
Now I know this sounds just freaking stupid, and it is don't get me wrong, but for some reason I got really into this movie! It's starts off with a guy narrating, who actually sounds just like the narrator in the "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" movie (Tim Burton- version), and I think that's what got my attention. That guys voice is just so interesting and it makes you feel magical- don't ask why I have no freaking clue, it just does. Anyways, it's about a girl who is raising her teenage nephew and like 5 year old niece because her sister & brother in law passed away, and they end up getting a message from the kid's grandpa, who sends his butler to give them the news. Their grandpa is freaking rich- he's a king of something and supposably their dad was a prince but since he married their mom who wasn't royalty, their grandpa completely disowned them and now that it's Christmas, he finally wants to freaking meet his grandkids. (What a shocker) A lot of bad acting happens, a lot of random unnecessary smiles happen too, and things happen that you could guess would happen within 20 minuets into the movie. So yea, it's a pretty interesting movie that wouldn't win an Emmy, but it's alright!
This movie, is just like any other Christmas movie that includes someone that needs a date for Christmas to either shut up their annoying f'n family, or prove to their friends that they aren't a complete loner, then fall in love. In this movie, this guy is with his family and his grandma is dying and her dying wish is to meet his wife and know that he will be happy. So the guy completely lies straight up to his grandmothers freaking face and says that he actually has a girlfriend who's name is rose- because that was the only object in her damn hospital room, that could make any sense of being a girls name and his grandma stupidly believes him- because why the hell not right? So now they show this girl who is trying to find a date for her Christmas party that her work is throwing to show her ex, who I guess works with her, that she doesn't want him anymore. So to make the long story short, they both find each other online because the girl put an ad out, saying that she needs a fake boyfriend for the holidays, which is completely f'd up honestly; I don't even know anyone who would actually scoop that low on the first thought of needing a boyfriend.. But anyways, they meet, they meet each other's family, change religions, and then they eventually fall in love! Even though this Christmas movie sucked and you already knew straight up how the ending will go, I thought it was still pretty funny.
Now after I seen some previews of this movie whilst watching a different Christmas movie, I got super excited about it! 'Cause why freaking not, I seen that it was about some crazed cat lady and I thought that that, mixed with Hallmark's bad acting, was going to be freaking hilarious! Found out though, whilst watching it, that it wasn't that damn funny after all.. That girl was a loner cat lady just like I thought she would be, but she ends up falling in love with this hunky firefighter who attracted a cat, which pretty much attracted her.. I mean it caught my attention, but it was very very very very stupid.
So that's all the Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel that I could think of, that I somewhat enjoyed. I hope this helps out those of you who are looking for some amazing Christmas movies! If there's any other Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel that you somewhat enjoy watching, let me know in the comments below! Just so you know though, I've been watching this channel almost 24/7 since the beginning of this month; it's the only channel that's airing Christmas movies right now, and I'm waiting for the good Christmas movies to air on ABC Family- so odds are I already seen it- but what the hell, give it a shot anyways! I'm always looking forward to new Christmas movies!! (Even if they suck!)
