Sooo I obviously suck at doing Blogmas..
I apologize for those of you who actually like reading my blogs. I tried so hard to prepare for Blogmas, but I've just got sooo extremely busy!! In this blog post, I'll talk about what all I did from day 12- now. That's five days... *FacePalm*
Day 12: Christmas Shopping Day One
I went shopping in Toledo, Ohio with my Mom and Sister. It was a lot of fun, like always, & I pretty much got allllll of my Christmas shopping done so I was SO incredibly happy!! I also went shopping for these two kids that I "adopted" for Christmas. I was told that one of them was a boy that was age 7-9, and I also got a girl who's age is 5-7. I freaking loved shopping for cool gifts in the toys section for them!! I really plan on adopting kids or a family for Christmas every year because it's so much fun and I love giving gifts to people I know who would appreciate them & enjoy them! (Hopefully, lol.)
Oh & after I got home from shopping, Kaitlin got out of work and called me pretty much telling me she's 5 minuets from my house so get ready because she's picking me up and taking me who-knows-where. Which I was completely up for, because I need to have spontaneous night outings with friends instead of working and bumming around the house! We had so many different ideas to do, that we never end up doing (like drinking, partying, hang out with other friends we didn't have, ect.) but instead of all of that, we thought of doing something else that we actually ended up doing the day after, after work..
Day 13: My First Tattoo
After a surprisingly fast day at work, I got my very first tattoo. I was SO unbelievably nervous to the point where I couldn't eat, talk, or think about anything other than the pain of getting inked. Kaitlin went with me and even though she put in the wrong address in the GPS that took us too a scary part of downtown Toledo, I wasn't too mad because it at least took my mind off it. As soon as we hit the town where the tattoo place was located, that's when my stomach fell to my butt. I have never been that nervous before in my life, but thank God I had Kaitlin with me to make me eat something (so I wouldn't pass out or throw up because I haven't eaten all day that day) and keep me from completely freaking myself out. As soon as I walked into the tattoo place, I was nervous still, but not as much as I was outside of that place..
Everyone inside was so unbelievably nice and funny and my nervousness began to fade! My tattoo artist was so down to earth and answered all of my stupid questions without making me actually feel stupid! She was surprisingly young (and my age actually), but she is SO talented!! My lines on my tattoo are on point, and the pain wasn't at all what I expected! She took a lot of breaks and the environment wasn't scary at all! I was told by a lot of people that when you first walk into a tattoo & piercings place, the vibe is scarier than the tattoo. At "Steel Addictions", that's defiantly not true. The vibe is awesome and even though I blasted a Twenty One Pilots song "Guns for hands", the tattoo hurt but it was tolerable.
The tattoo I ended up getting is a triangle on my inner forearm. It resembles the water element, which is what I am. My siblings and I, all agreed that we should get our element tatted on us as a 'sibling tattoo' because oddly, our birthday's are spaced out to which we are all each one of the four elements. I'm water, Sara's fire, Joe is earth, and matt is air. How freaking cool is that?! We found these triangle symbols that mean each element that we all agreed looked freaking sweet! (Not to mention, the triangle is the strongest shape and it also just happens to be my favorite! Lol.) I've always told myself that I wouldn't get a tattoo that doesn't mean anything to me, so it was very easy to pick this one be my first, because it resembles my family and they'll always be my number one.
(If you're ever are wondering what getting a tattoo feels like, think of tiny razor blades going in and out of your skin a bunch of times.. It sounds painful, which it kind of is, but it's surprisingly tolerable- even at the spots where it hurts more than others. Just blast your favorite song and it will be a lot more relaxing. My tattoo artist was actually done before the song even ended. I did get a small one though, but it was perfect for my first tattoo.)
Day 14: Christmas Shopping Day Two
On this day, I drove Kaitlin and I two hours away to an outlet mall called "Great Lakes Crossing" in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The drive was absolutely scary and gave me tons of anxiety (because I hate driving on highways) & to top it all off, it was raining HORRIBLY! As soon as we got there though, I was pretty proud of myself and Kaitlin and I were extremely excited to get our shop on! We went into tons of stores and had to get out right away because we wanted to buy everything for ourselves like the selfish people we are! Haha, just kidding we're defiantly not selfish people but we did end up finding more stuff for ourselves than we did for other people! I'm pretty much done though for Christmas, & Kaitlin ended up getting her shopping pretty much done as well.
All I really needed to get was my Dad a couple more things and the same with Kaitlin, so I had her pick out a purse and wallet (actually I ended up picking them out for her lol) and got it for her for Christmas! On the way home though, she talked me into giving her the purse and wallet early because her purse was "falling apart".. I just said hell with it and gave it to her, haha.
For dinner we ended up going to the "Rainforest Cafe", which was Kaitlin's very first time going. She loved it like I knew she would, and we both ordered my FAVORITE thing on the menu, the "Guacamole Burger" with "Strawberry Lemonade". Shit that stuff's soooo gooood!!! The Guacamole Burger is to DIE for and the Strawberry lemonade is made with real strawberries and oh my gosh, having them both together is absolutely heaven.
Day 15: Sharp Ass Nails
While Kaitlin and I were shopping yesterday, we kept talking about how we've been wanting to get our nails done forever now! So we tried to find some nail salons around where we were, because oddly, there was none in the outlet mall...
So on this relaxing day off, we went out by us and got our nails done. I asked the manicurist to do my nails like a picture I found on Pinterest, and he did an amazing job- except for the fact that they were a lot pointier than what I wanted.. I'm getting used to them though, and I actually like them, haha! I feel like the pointedness brings out the evilness in me! So I might be getting them done like that more often.. lol!
Day 16: Long Day at Work
I worked 8am-5pm today, so you bet I was exhausted as hell when I came home! Working retail is hell when it comes around the holiday's & people are crazy. Gotta make money somehow though, and at least I enjoy the people I get to work with! I'm dreading every day after tomorrow because I took off Monday & Tuesday, so they're having me work the whole weekend starting with Friday and that's torture to me! I HATE working weekends and whenever it's extremely busy (which it always freaking is on the weekends) I get super bad anxiety and I'm absolutely miserable throughout the whole day.
I seriously don't know how I'm getting through it.... lol.
Day 17: Lazy Day
I love my day's off and I look forward to be lazy and sit in my pjs all day watching all my favorite shows and movies. I'm a loner, but I'm not gonna lie, I freaking love it. (Most of the time.)
Today I pretty much just bummed around binging on movies while looking at tattoo placements on pinterest..
Life is good.
